· Please take note that Sabah Parks allow only camera of unaided flash to take photograph of the turtle
· Video/Digital Video Cameras are not allowed in Selingan Island
· Sabah Parks also forbid visitor from going around the Selingan Island on their own from 6:00pm – 6:00am.
Itinerary
Day 1: (-/L/D)

Meet at Hotel Lobby (0945hrs) or Sandakan Airport (preferably on MH 2042 (ETA 0740hrs) or AK 6092 (ETA 0750hrs).
(Boat departs for Selingan Island at 1015) Transfer to jetty for boat ride to Selingan Island. The journey to Island takes approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. On arrival, register at the Turtle Island Parks HQ and check into chalet. After lunch at cafeteria, free at own leisure. After dinner, rangers will guide you to enjoy the turtles laying eggs process such as transferring the eggs to the Hatchery and if there are any young turtle hatchlings, you may also enjoy the release of the turtles to the sea. |

0700 - depart for Sandakan. After breakfast, drive for approximately 30 minutes to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Center. Proceed to the free roaming area feeding platform.
1000 - feeding of Orang Utans. At this center, observe Orang Utan that are being rehabilitated to become wild in their natural habitat and experience a walk in the Tropical Lowland Dipterocarp Forest of Borneo.
1100 - depart Sepilok and transfer to jetty in Sandakan.
1145 - take an hour boat cruise up to the Lower Kinabatangan River Sanctuary where you will take your lunch at Abai Jungle Restaurant. This is a wonderful journey of discovery which starts from the waters of Sulu Sea of Sandakan town through a magnificent scenery of the Mangrove Forest. After lunch, cruise up river to Sukau village in search of primates especially the Endemic Proboscis Monkeys, birds and other wildlife. Arrive Sukau, check in at Kinabatangan Riverside Lodge. Late afternoon, an option to take another river cruise with electric motor to Menanggul River, a small tributary of the Kinabatangan.

After breakfast, enjoy a river cruise by boat back to Sandakan. Another chance for wildlife sightings with this approximately 2.5 hours journey. Upon arrival at jetty, drive up hill to the Puh Jih Syh Chinese Buddhist Temple which offers a panoramic view of the Sandakan Bay.
Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, transfer to the Airport on MH2047 (ETD1400hrs) or AK6097 (ETD1420hrs) |
