Day 2, Friday

On arrival in Kuala Lumpur, spend the afternoon relaxing. In the early evening, head to the bustling Chinatown and try your hand at bargaining with the market traders. Next, visit the ornate Sri Mahamariamman Temple and feel the mystical aura of the oldest Hindu temple in the city. If you are lucky, you may even see a Hindu wedding in progress. For dinner, enjoy a sumptuous Malaysian buffet dinner and be entertained by an array of traditional cultural performances.

Day 3, Saturday

Kuala Lumpur - Kuala Selangor (B/-/D)

At 10:00am, take a tour of Kuala Lumpur, better known as KL. Take in views of colonial and Moorish architecture set against a backdrop of ultra-modern skyscrapers in this city of contrasts.

Make a stop at the King's Palace, a symbol of Malaysian sovereignty. Take a drive up Robson Heights, and witness the magnificence and splendour of the Thean Hou Temple, nestled into the hillside. Proceed towards Tugu Negara, the National Monument, which was constructed to honour the country's fallen heroes. Other stops include the Lake Gardens, the National Mosque, Merdeka (Independence) Square boasting the world's tallest free-standing flag pole, Sultan Abdul Samad Building, and the Selangor Club.

Around 5:00pm, you will proceed to Kuala Selangor, situated about 90 minutes drive away from Kuala Lumpur. Kuala Selangor has much to offer especially to those who wish to take a peek at Malaysian rural life.

Fishing and farming are the main occupations here, although a large part of the area has also been cultivated with oil palm and rubber. Upon arrival, you will be taken to a visit a Chinese fishing village followed by a sumptuous Chinese seafood dinner. After which we will treat you to the highlight of the evening: firefly watching. You will be rowed upstream in a sampan where you can see thousands of fireflies flickering like Christmas lights in the mangrove trees lining the banks of the river. After the tour, you will be driven back to your hotel, arriving at around 10:00pm.

Take in all the sights, smells and sounds of the inner city as your trishaw takes you past Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion, riding along the historical Farquhar Road, passing St Xavier’s Institution and Convent Light Street, both established in the 19th century by early Christian missionaries. Continue along Chulia Street, cutting into Love Lane and Muntri Street, the infamous red light districts of bygone days. End up at  the seaside esplanade located at Light Street and savour an outdoor hawker dining experience as the locals do - with the South China Sea as a backdrop.
