Sabah Golf & Country Club | | Designer | Robert Muir Graves | | Description | 18 holes - Par 72 | The oldest 18-hole layout in the State which opened for play in 1976 has hosted many prestigious golf events over the last 2 decades. Reputed as one of the toughest golf courses in South-East Asia, this traditional inland golf course designed by Robert Muir Graves was carved out of a former rubber estate and secondary jungle. The club has 2,500 members which mean access to the golf course is privilege. With a course rating of 74.4 off the back tees this par 72 18-hole golf course measuring 6,335 metres coupled with undulating fairways and large water hazards offers endless challenges to golfers.
In the last two decades, holes 14, 15 and 16 have been named “Amen Corner”. The corner runs from hole 14th to the 16th where champions of tournaments are made. Thus, it is important to have an accurate tee off with distance! |
